Extraordinary Burn Time
Our solid beeswax pillar candles are exceptionally long lasting with a beautiful all natural honey scent and light golden color. Each hypoallergenic beeswax candle is hand crafted using a lead-free cotton wick and lightly filtered 100% pure beeswax from the USA.
Bright and Cheerful
Fill your home with bright, cheery beeswax candle light and a wonderful honey scent. Combine different heights and widths to create the perfect display of these handsome contemporary beeswax candles. Pillars are suited for larger rooms, bedrooms, open areas, etc.
Our beeswax candles are naturally honey scented. Scent varies slightly based on honey, pollen, and propolis present in the beeswax.
A candle's scent throw varies based on personal sensitivities and environment.
Burn time is a close approximation and will vary somewhat based on your environment and burning preferences.
Our burn times are conservative averages, not a guarantee. Results will vary. Proper wick maintenance helps.
We hand pour and hand finish each of our beeswax pillar candles. The dimensions listed are an approximation and will vary slightly for each candle. Please consider each candle a work of art.
We make outstanding candles, but we are humans, not machines. Learn more about why the candle size varies.
Note - Our 3" diameter beeswax pillar candles require a minimum burn of 3 hours per session. Burning for extend time ensures that the wick burns the candle evenly out to the edge. This also helps to avoid tunneling and relighting issues. View all beeswax candle burning tips.
- Why You'll Love Our Beeswax Candles
100% Pure Beeswax
We use only clean, lightly filtered, 100% pure beeswax from beeswax cappings in our beeswax candles, with no fillers or additives. It's non-toxic properties make it perfect for a clean burning and bright fuel source as a beeswax candle.
Unlike most manufactured paraffin candles, beeswax is hypo-allergenic, great for people with allergies or other sensitivities, and those of us who want a clean burning candle in our homes.
100% Cotton Wick
Bee Hive Candles' philosophy is creating beeswax candles that are all natural and clean burning. We use lead-free cotton wick in every beeswax candle we make. Be wary as some imported paraffin candles may still contain lead wicks.
All of our beeswax candles use a properly sized lead-free wick to provide a bright flame and optimum wax pool to prevent tunneling.
Smoke & Soot Free
Using beeswax candles is an excellent way to keep your home free of the smoke and soot that is a common result of burning paraffin candles.
When burned in a draft free environment with the wick trimmed to 1/4" a beeswax candle will burn bright and clean with virtually no smoke or soot.
Incredibly Long Burn Times
Our solid beeswax candles are the most durable and long lasting candles on the market. They burn brighter, longer, and cleaner than any other type of candle. Although beeswax candles appears to cost more, they are usually a better value than paraffin when comparing total burn times.
Try our beeswax candles, the incredibly long burn time will simply amaze you!
Natural Honey Scent & Color
Our beeswax comes direct from beekeepers in the northern US where the honey bees fly among raspberries, canola, clover, and wildflowers. The resulting wax is a beautiful shade of yellow that has an aromatic honey fragrance. We simply reshape the bees' creation; the color and the scent are made by the hardworking bees.
We do not add anything to our beeswax and only filter out the large particles that could interfere with the flame. (We add dye to our "colored" candles, see the Color Info tab above.)
Naturally Drip Resistant
A beeswax candle is less likely to drip than other types of candles because of the complex molecular structure and higher melting point of beeswax. This allows the wick to burn the molten beeswax at just the right pace so it doesn't drip out of the wax pool. These qualities combined with a properly maintained wick, a level burning surface, and draft free environment will help prevent drips from occurring.
Beeswax candles are naturally drip resistant. Paraffin candles require chemical additives, like stearic acid, to make them drip less.
Hand Poured & Hand Finished
We pour each solid beeswax pillar, taper, votive, and tea light candle by hand. It takes an experienced hand to ensure each candle is crafted correctly - we don't want any air bubbles, crooked wicks, or other imperfections. Each candle is inspected to ensure it's quality. We have no "factory second" beeswax candles; if the candle doesn't make the grade, it goes right back into the wax melter.
Some candle makers will ship you their product directly after removing it from the mold where it is often unleveled, uneven, and simply unattractive. We've always taken the time to carefully hand finish each candle so that our beeswax candles are as stunning to look at as they are beautiful to burn.
Beeswax May Have Health Benefits
Negative ions are most commonly found near moving water, such as crashing waves, thunderstorms, and waterfalls. Negative ions are believed to produce biochemical reactions that increase levels of the mood chemical serotonin, helping to alleviate depression, relieve stress, and boost our daytime energy.
While it is still debated and not yet scientifically proven, it is believed that there are other natural negative ion generators too, including our specialty, beeswax candles.

- Color Info
Naturally Colored Beeswax
The raw beeswax we use comes from the hive as a light golden yellow color, which we call "Natural" when we refer to the candle's color. The natural color of beeswax is determined by the remaining pollen and propolis in the wax; this color varies a little between each batch.
Our naturally colored beeswax candles do not contain any dyes or additives.
All of our color-added beeswax candles (Holiday Red, Hunter Green, etc.) contain a very small amount of dye to achieve their vibrant colors.
The dyes do not contain hazardous solvents or additives (such as naphtha or naphthalene used in other dyes). The dyes are never tested on animals. No dye ingredients are on the California Prop 65 list of cancer causing ingredients.
The dyes we use for our colored beeswax candles are formulated with eco-friendly ingredients. They offer excellent color consistency and strength for crisp, clean, bright candles. The colored dye makes up a very small percentage of the overall beeswax candle, much less than 1%.
Our brightly colored beeswax pillars give you more choices when burning beeswax and are an easy way to add a splash of excitement to your candle arrangements. Our natural colored beeswax does not contain dye.
Available in a variety of bold colors. 100% pure beeswax, all cotton wick.
Our colorful beeswax candles can be kept polished for a shiny modern look or let their age show by allowing the bloom to appear over time.
The bright color is a great backdrop for showcasing the white antique finish of the bloom.
- Safety & Burning Tips
- Never leave a burning candle unattended.
- Keep candles away from children and pets.
- Keep candles away from flammable materials or overly crowded settings.
- Remove paper label from candle before burning.
- Burn candles only in a draft-free environment away from fans, open windows, air ducts, etc. This will help to prevent dripping or smoking.
- Light the wick from the base of the wick, where the wick comes out of the candle, to allow the beeswax to absorb into the wick. A lighter works best.
- Keep the wick trimmed to 1/4" (with the exception of tapers). Proper trimming ensures that your beeswax candle will burn with a strong, bright, beautiful flame.

Very good quality candle, especially if you pinch in the edges after each use Many companies will not make a large pillar in beeswax, but Beehive does just fine.

I really like this candle as it burns evenly and gives off a lovely beeswax scent when burned. Plus, the candle burns for a long time. I bought this candle to help clean the air when I had a reaction to paint fumes; I had a hard time breathing when I was not sitting next to the burning candle. The candle really helped to ease my labored breathing.

Beautiful scent, clear burning

These candles are mainstays in my house. I love the clean beeswax smell and they burn well. The burning time listed may actually be an underestimate, by my usage, so they're a great value as well.

"Purely" the BEST!!

The candles are beautiful! The wicks are so white and look stunning and peaceful when burning. I am especially health conscious, so I appreciate a healthy candle option. If a candle burns uneven, it may be due to how the candle is sitting in its holder. One of my favorite holders burns all candles the same way which tells me that it's the holder that is off, not the candle. I am grateful for these candles and feel good about burning them and telling my guests what they are made of. Thank you!!!

This is our most favorite candle of all time. It smells delicious and burns beautifully. We have started ordering them for friends as gifts but always have to order an extra for ourselves.

I was really excited about using these candles because they're good for the air and don't contain any chemicals. The candles smelled very pleasant. However, for some reason my candles did not burn evenly. I burned them for the appropriate amount of time and made sure the wick was centered and the right length. I do love the candles, but because they burned unevenly I was always worried the hot wax would spill.
>> Thanks for your comments! There are a few possible reasons why the candles may have been burning unevenly. A draft or other air movement from hvac or ceiling fans can cause the flame and all the heat it generates to favor one side of the candle. A glass hurricane (which we recommend avoid using) with no vent opening at the bottom can create air turbulence which can cause the same issue. Finally, grouping candles is beautiful when they are unlit but when lighting candles it is important to leave adequate space between them otherwise the heat generated by neighboring candles can weaken the wall of the wax pool and cause drips.
We always recommend using a candle plate, just in case.

I like these candles. I have to let them burn as the ad says for at least 3 hours or they will not burn as long as described to 180 hours. I do get some tunneling when doing that.

I love all of Beehive Candles products! They burn a very long time and burn very cleanly. I also like the all-cotton wicks and the purity of the product. Highly recommended!!
My favorite candles!

When I learned about how harmful petroleum based waxes can be, I started looking for beeswax candles. The BeeHive candles are of very high quality, have a long burn time and the natural (very light) honey scent from the wax is wonderful. I ordered a few via the online store and they arrived quickly. I am addicted to them and they are worth the money. You will enjoy them!
